About Cairo Escape

Cairo Escape is an independent travel resource dedicated to helping you plan excursions from Cairo and Giza, from the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum to Saqqara, Dahshur and the day trips around Egypt that make sense from a hotel base.

What we do

We create in-depth, regularly updated travel guides covering Cairo and Giza and their surrounding regions — Islamic Cairo and Coptic Cairo, Saqqara and Dahshur, Alexandria and the Fayoum, Ain Sokhna and Luxor — the excursions worth booking, realistic transfer times, ticketing and reservation systems, and practical planning advice for getting around greater Cairo. Every article is researched thoroughly and written to give you genuine, useful advice — not generic filler content.

How we earn

Cairo Escape is funded through affiliate partnerships, primarily with GetYourGuide and Viator. This income allows us to keep the site running, create new content, and maintain existing guides.
